I mean, you had me at handmade cloth badges! It gave me such a rush of nostalgia for 80s-style postal clubs. As soon as I have the funds, I’d love to join. Until then, I’ll happily promote and share what you’re doing 🙂
You don't need funds yet. Just email your address to the membershipsecretary@tiaotta.org and she'll send an application pack including payment details. I can discuss with the Treasurer if we need to do some discounted memberships. The first membership packs go out in October so you've just got to get your application in by the end of September!
What a lovely idea. I've been thinking along similar lines, although just taking up letter writing again. Got one taker so far and am going to write my first hand-written letter in years this weekend 🤓
I've managed to keep up quite a few correspondences over the years, and it is always lovely to receive a letter! TIAOTTA is a bit more than letter-writing but hopefully will be just as much fun for people to receive. And you get a sew-on patch!

I am, I do, and I fully agree. And I know she is not the only one either. It's a horrible experience but no writer or artist who experiences this should think they're alone. It's a badge of honour at this point! It did end my fiction-writing career, though. But in the end, I'm glad. Jump or be pushed!
It's an exciting idea. I think creativity is going to become more and more important as people long for human interaction.
